We find that dementia patients are typically less resistant to receiving assistance with personal care needs from a caregiver than from a family member. Our staff works with the resident’s family to establish a safe, comfortable environment. Within this nurturing atmosphere, we use visual cues and simple as a substitute for mental processes in decline.
